The two main themes at the September 14 meeting at the Chateau Vaudreuil this
year were Momentum and Open Access.
Momentum included presentations by Novinsoft key technical folks Michel
Lebel on our Plan Code Database Tools for In-Force Illustrations,
Dan Stein on Auto-Rates Generation, and Vlad Olaru on our
.NET Illustration System Architecture.
Adoption of these current Novinsoft technology options by various clients and
the benefits for other clients was featured.
Our latest technology – “Open Access” to our Illustration System
Architecture for client companies - was demonstrated by Vlad. Vlad showed how
the new XML Product Parameter Engine allows client companies to
edit a large number of parameterized application attributes and dynamically
execute source code, on-the-fly, on their own, to change product features in
their Illustration Systems.
Vlad also demonstrated our new capability to add slide presentations with
dynamic data and graphs to our Illustration Systems and Sales Concepts using
the latest version of Microsoft Power Point. Microsoft has opened up their code
in the latest Office Suite making it much easier for Novinsoft to provide this
service; thus decreasing the time and cost for our client companies.
In a group discussion on Bug Tracking and Electronic Applications,
representatives from the various insurance carriers shared information on the
Bug Tracking Tools being used and use of Electronic Applications by their
respective field forces. Novinsoft can now review this input to improve on these
services.
The guest speaker was
Yves Delvallet, Vice-President Business
Development for Covenant Group. Yves explored why customer relationship
management solutions have run their course, and why practice development systems
will be the next great wave in financial services. In the coming years, advisors
who master practice development will have a distinct advantage over their
competition. In his presentation –
Building Your Business,
Yves delved into actual cases, exploring, in-depth, how various advisors
transformed their businesses by adopting The 8 Best Practices.
Neil Menear, President, Novinsoft, also discussed the Novinsoft 2007 highlights.
